The South African born Lincolnshire artist and sculptor, Martin Dirker, uses computer controls to machine his
artwork from solid hardwoods.

Martin has always loved motorsport for the mechanical aspects as well as the aesthetic aspects. He has worked for a
number of teams as a designer including BMW, March and Bentley. It was as one of the Design Engineers at Bentley
that he introduced new design methods to speed up the concept-to-realisation process. Martin's time spent at
Bentley proved very inspirational to this recent project.

After investing in a CNC router, he was inspired to put his love of form into creating a sculptural representation
of the 2003 Le Mans winning Speed 8. Although proportionally correct, the pieces are not fully detailed, leaving
the basic shapes to be admired and appreciated.
